The Company Directory or Global Address List (GAL) can be accessed from a number of places including the
compose screen
menu and the
message list. If you cannot see this menu item your server does not support the Company Directory.
The Company Directory allows you to search for contacts stored on the mail server. To use it type part or all of a contact name into the search box and press 'enter' or choose 'Search' from the menu.
The result of the search will be shown on screen. Highlight the result you want and press the BlackBerry Menu key to:
- Add To Only shown when accessed from the compose menu
Add the contact to the list of 'To' addresses for your currently composed email.
- Add Cc Only shown when accessed from the compose menu
Add the contact to the list of 'Cc' addresses for your currently composed email.
- Add Bcc Only shown when accessed from the compose menu
Add the contact to the list of 'Bcc' addresses for your currently composed email.
- View Contact Display the selected contacts information on the screen.
- Save Contact Save the contact information to your device contact list.
- More Results Ask the server for the next set of matches (if any)
- Back Go back to the search screen to search again.
