Resetting the Contacts Collection

It may be necessary to perform a procedure known as ‘Resetting the collection’ with AstraSync to clear up any issues or anomalies with the Address Book/Contacts. This will essentially break and then reestablish the sync relationship.


The steps involved are:

1) On the Device in AstraSync go to Menu > Options > Sync Settings.
2) Unselect the Contacts option.
3) Hit Menu > Save.
4) You will get a warning that items will be deleted on the device
5) Hit Menu > Yes.
6) If you run into any errors at this stage, reboot the Device (remove battery).
7) Once the data is deleted or after the reboot go back into Options > Sync settings within AstraSync
8) Select the Contacts option.
9) Hit Menu > Save.
10) AstraSync will now sync the items on the device back to the BlackBerry.
