The Sync Schedule dialog allows you to control how often AstraSync will sync your collections. You can also define your peak (work) and off-peak (home) hours.

Non Configurable Options

  • Newly composed emails are sent immediately provided a data connection is available. If no connection is available they are stored in the 'Outbox' folder until the connection is restored.
  • Checks for changes to Contacts/calendar on the device are done less frequently than the regular server checks to ensure the best performance. By default AstraSync will determine the optimum time to perform this check. The option can be changed within Menu > Options > Performance settings.
  • A manual 'Sync Now' will perform an immediate check on both the device and server collections for updates.
  • Changes to emails (read, deleted, flagged etc) are sent during the next sync attempt.

  • Set the time your working (peak) period starts and ends. The off peak check interval will be used outside of these hours.
  • Set the days of the week you want your peak sync schedule to apply. The off peak check frequency will be used for the whole duration of unselected days.
  • Set the peak and off-peak server check frequency. This defines the frequency which AstraSync asks the server to detail any changes. Choose from:
    • Direct Push - AstraSync maintains a constant connection to the server and the server tells AstraSync immediately of any changes or new messages.
    • 2 Minutes, 5 Minutes, 15 Minutes, 30 Minutes, 1 hour - AstraSync will check for changes on the server and new messages every 2, 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
    • Manually - AstraSync will only check for changes on the server when a manual Sync Now is initiated by the user.
